“Whose Wedding is it Anyway?”
Reality TV has always been very entertaining. It is even better when you get behind the scenes and realize that it is not reality at all. Danielle was chosen to be on Style Network’s TV show “Whose Wedding is it Anyway?” They selected her story because they were drawn to the love story it involved. The idea that they met through the Army, that they were planning a wedding while living in different countries, the fact that the wedding would incorporate both Jewish and Scottish elements, and of course the men in kilts caught their attention as well. Danielle agreed to do the show because they would be giving her a wedding planner and a honeymoon vacation. If only she knew what it involved. Would she still have agreed?
First of all, the planner didn’t plan the wedding, Danielle did! The show didn’t even show up until the 31st to start filming. They took all day to film the interviews with Ellen and Earl. They made up scenes where Danielle and Stuart were pretending to email each other between Florida and Scotland when in fact they were sitting under the same roof. They even pretended to be with Danielle when she chose her dress. Ever since Danielle told me she would be on the show, I have been trying to catch episodes. From what I have seen, the show is a fraud! They make it look like the planner did all the work and designing. That might be true for some weddings, but not Danielle’s! I got the impression that the show thrives on DRAMA. I even started wondering if they were causing it. For example, Danielle’s make-up artist just happened to cancel on her the morning of her wedding with an excuse like “Oh, I have food poisoning!” Luckily, Danielle kept an appointment she had made at Nordstrom so she wasn’t too upset by the inconvenience. I spent the night with Danielle the evening before the wedding, and somehow we ended up in a room with dried blood on the bed spread and floor, and what looked like poop smeared on the wall. James Tramondo decided to borrow Danielle’s shoes so he could surprise her with an added decoration, but then he showed up an hour late to present them to her. The producer was in Danielle’s face with the cameras trying to get a response out of her about the lack of shoes. She made it apparent that she didn’t care what shoes she wore. She also made it obvious that she did not care for James’s mother, but for that scene you will have to wait till the episode airs in April. All in all, I think the episode will be worth waiting for. I for one, however, would never recommend having a TV crew follow you on your wedding day. Danielle’s wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I think it would have gone on without a hitch if the show was not involved at all. The added drama was just an extra stress put on the Bride and Groom. When you scroll through the slideshow of photos you will notice that the TV crew and monstrosity of a microphone are in almost every shot. I am dying to see the photographer’s pictures. Her name is Lauren Kinsey and she is a friend of Danielle’s. Her photographic eye is like something you see in a magazine. Until Lauren has her photos online my pictures must suffice. I even mixed in a few that Maggie took. Enjoy!
After writing this post I meandered over to Lauren’s site and found a little sneak peek of some of Danielle’s pictures. Here is what she has so far.

hi Robin!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, it totally made my whole day. That is what makes me get up everyday and do this job- not only because I love it but because people appreciate it.
I’m bookmarking your blog!

Your mom was telling us about this at the office, and I feel so bad for the bride and groom. I had no doubt that reality programs thrive on drama, but I wouldn’t have guessed the extent they’d go to create it for a wedding-related program! You’d expect that for some crazy dating competition, but this is someone’s big day they are messing with!
