Thank You Uncle David!!!
Jon’s Aunt Linda and Uncle David, aka Duke, came into town for Marianne’s family reunion. During their visit I played with Duke’s Canon Rebel EOS Xti 400d. I sorta kinda kidnapped it and took thousands of photos with it in only 3 days. I read the manual and started researching more and more on the internet. Duke saw my enthusiasm and generously left his prized camera with me until June. WOW!!! A dream come true! I have been photographing like crazy ever since. I am at about 2,000 photos for March alone. My hard drives cant take it, and my time for editing cant take it either. Therefore, I decided that I must learn to take great pictures in less shots. (if that is possible) I went to the public library today and checked out “The Joy of Digital Photography” by Jeff Wignall, “The Photographer’s Guide to Photoshop” by Barrie Thomas, and “Digital Art Photography for Dummies” by Matthew Bamberg, MA. I am so completely addicted. I learned the necessity to shoot all photos in RAW format, especially since I love to play with them in Photoshop so much. RAW format allows me to edit all the settings without compromising the quality. Make sure you check out all the photos in Flickr. I am excited to see how my images change as I learn new things. I can already see a difference between the photos I took in January and February to now. I will post again after I read the books. Duke, if you are reading this, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! MWAAAAAH!
