PostHeaderIcon 3 is a Magic Number

OMG we are finally in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We kinda snuck in before the living certificate, but we can get it once BJ finishes all the electric work. I absolutely love this house! I slept like a baby in my king size bed and got all squeeky clean in my shower the size of our trailer. We don’t have a kitchen yet and the house still has lots of work left, but after 3 years in the trailer I really don’t care what needs to be done as long as it is livable. So lets see that magic number
Jon and I lived 3 years in the trailer
Logan lived 3 months in the trailer
We have 3 dogs (Storm, Thunder, and Vegas)
3 bathrooms
3 spare bedrooms
3 members of our family (Jon, Logan, and I)
3 people in the inlaws house (Marianne, Gary, and Grandma)
AND over 3,000 square feet of living space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally something worth talking about. Our doors have actually been installed right side up and opening the right way. After many attempts though. We did get a 25% discount because the installers were idiots and couldn’t tell the top from the bottom nor in from out. They also gave us an extra Hurricane Force window, a big one too. Now we can sell it and get back a little more money for our troubles and time.
BJ finally came out and worked on electric. He has all the outlets in and highhat lights. He is working on fans for the patio, cable, and phone.
The air guy is supposed to be here this week to put in the duct work and install the two units. He gave a good price of $9,900. Hopefully he will do a good job and not make mistakes like everyone else who has worked on our house.
The pool guy came out and planned where the patio will go. We will have a four foot concrete wall around the pool patio and paver bricks filling the whole area. They will dig out the pool and use the dirt to level the land around it.
Once the air and electric is completed, we can call an inspection and begin drywall. From there it should go quickly because it mostly our work left. Tile and paint and finishing touches. I hope to move in to my bedroom before Christmas so I can get ready for baby to arrive.

We finally have windows and all of our interior walls. We are still waiting for the doors before we can stucco, seal, and paint the exterior. In the meantime, we can get the plumber and electrician ready so we can drywall and finish the inside. I gave them a strict time schedule now that I am pregnant and hormonal (well, more hormonal than usual)

PostHeaderIcon Putting in the Windows

The house is starting to come together. Our wonderful Hurricane impact windows are here and ready to be installed. We are still waiting for the doors and we have to go to Home Depot to choose glass blocks for our shower window. Once the doors and windows are installed we can Stucco, seal, and paint the exterior. WoooHoooo!!!!

PostHeaderIcon Jon’s Tractor

This is a video that I created a few months ago when Jon bought his new tractor to clear the property. It is very sexy!!!! The video will give you a good look at our house and the property for those of you out of towners. I apologize for the grainy format it was the only way to make the file small enough for the web. Remember to press play to start the movie loading, then hit pause while it loads completely. Wait until the grey bar fills up and then press play to watch. Depending on your connection it shouldn’t take long, it is a 4 minute movie. Turn up your speakers for the full effect. Enjoy ;O)
