Flickr Explore Poster

My photos (and some from others, like Kelly and Maggie)are pretty popular on Flickr. These 5 photos actually became part of the top 500 photos for the day that they were uploaded. Woo Hooo!!!! My Red Chili Pepper Painting was in Explore and made it all the way to number 12 at one point, but it keeps getting dropped and added again. No clue why. From the left to the right these photos are
1. Pure Bliss (by Maggie) A Photo of the beautiful Julianne relaxing by Aunt Kelly’s pool.
2. Having a Ball (by Kelly) A photo of Vegas attacking a big blue ball in Kelly’s pool.
3. Look at me Mom (by me) A photo of Vegas’s first time swimming in Kelly’s pool.
4. Royal Vegas Babi (by me) A photo of Vegas the day we brought her home outside of Britt’s house.
5. Stand Out in a Crowd (by me) A photo taken in the conservatory of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The creator of Flickr Toys, which I use to create all my fun mosaic and new hockneyized images, has created a blog just for the “teach yourself” photographers like me. The website is called Photodoto.com
This site offers tips for making better photos. It also has contests, which is why I am posting this. A neat little toy called The Pod, is a bean bag and tri-pod in one. It will stabalize a camera almost anywhere. See this review from Photodoto.com.
Hockneyizer
I found a new Flickr toy to play with. It is called the Hockneyizer. It takes any photo from your photostream on Flickr and makes it look like a collage of pollaroids. Here are a few examples of what I created with it so far.
