The Happy Grandparents!
I finished the portrait for Jean’s inlaws. She is now on her way to Colorado where this painting will find it’s home. Sorry about the flash, I had to take the picture when the left was still wet, so of course it gave me a lovely glare.
Jean Family Portrait
This is my first paid order. I am painting a portrait of my friend Jeannie’s family. These two lovely people are her inlaws. I will be completing this with a wedding portrait of Jean and her husband Scott. His sister and her husband, as well as Jean’s daughter Ashley and her nephew . The other portraits will be on a smaller scale in painted into the four corners around the parents. I hope I can do her proud.
Alina’s Portrait
I finally finished the portrait of Alina. It is a surprise for Britt because it matches a portrait done by a friend of Grandma’s when Britt was two year old. I hope she likes it, I am pretty sure she doesn’t look at my site, and if you do Britt, act surprised. ![]()

Spring Carnival Time At Local Schools
Carol Porter 14.APR.06

Face Painting
Last Night I painted faces for the school carnival. Here is a sampling of my best work. The 3-eyed monster in the top left square is what I look like without make-up on. I actually painted my own face that way in the morning and wore it all day while I taught. I think the kids really paid close attention to everything I said.
) At least I didn’t have to say, “All eyes on me.” Next year I think I will shave my head and paint a face on the back .
